Community PROMISE: Peers Reaching Out and Modeling Intervention Strategies Effectively, is an intervention- prevention program geared toward Men Who have Sex with Men in Northern Arizona. Through actual community role model stories, others are encouraged to adopt or maintain safe behaviors.  Participants may also find they are ready to make a change themselves resulting in positive effects in their lives.  Peer advocates from the target population are recruited and trained to distribute the role model stories and prevention materials within their social networks.  Governed by a Community Advisory Board, operated by peer advocates and volunteers, Community PROMISE truly is a community driven program.
